Drying Kapok
How about kapok picked up on the road? Get it dry, in the absence of sun. (Now that the weather is nice, I'd be better off picking up kapok on the ground in a tree drying out and freezing it so it doesn't mold easily)
Ingredients
- Kapok 7 flowers
Instructions
-
Fresh Kapok
-
First have put it next to the stove to dry a bit.
-
I use medium heat, 500 in an electric potager, cut in half, sometimes cover the pot, cover for a while and then take a spatula out and fry it.
-
It's slowly drying out some.
-
Reduce to 300. continue to cover the pan and sauté a little more.
-
I stopped in the middle to take a fan to dry it out because I went back to sauteing the Camellia sinensis in the middle.
-
I thought it still wasn't dry enough, so I went to fry it again.
-
Finally fried more dry, afraid to put it outside, because it is very humid and rainy these days. Put it in a pocket and freeze it. I'll make the tea in a few days.
