
Scrambled Eggs with a Different Kind of Toon ~ Toon Eggs on a Stick
I just got the egg cups and thought that I could use these to make toon egg bars. Just couldn't have the toon right away. Finally, I waited for the toon season, so I can put the idea I had at the beginning into practice.
A few dollars for a small bundle of toon isn't much of a portion, so it seems like it's pretty expensive. But this small bundle can be a good meal.
Just like the toon omelette, the toon is chopped and stirred with the egg mixture. Only instead of going into a frying pan, it's poured into an egg cup. Egg cups have a limited capacity, and the egg mixture will expand when heated, so it's best to divide an egg into two portions and pour them into the egg cups in batches to make two sticks. Otherwise, the egg mixture in the upper part may be topped before it is ripe. In this case, it is still more economical to fry in a frying pan, one pan, as many eggs as you want. However, compared to the frying pan, the tostada egg sticks are less oily and a bit more low-heat. When done, drizzle with a little sesame oil and sprinkle with some chopped green onions, and it tastes just as good.
Ingredients
- Chinese toon (Toona sinensis) 17 grams
- Eggs 1 egg
- Salt 0.5 grams
- chopped green onion A few pinches
- sesame oil A little
Instructions

Ingredients: 17g tofu, 1 egg, 0.5g salt, a little green onion, a little sesame oil.

Wash and chop the toon, set aside.

Remove the roots of green onion, wash and cut into chopped green onion.

Crack the eggs into a bowl, add salt and whisk well.

Then pour the chopped scallions into the beaten egg mixture.

Stir well.

Plug in the breakfast egg cups and preheat them while you're preparing the ingredients.

Once the ingredients are ready and the egg cups are almost preheated, add the bamboo skewers.

Pour half of the tofu egg mixture into the egg cups and let sit for a few minutes.

As the egg mixture matures, the stick expands with heat and slowly rises out of the egg cup.

Then form the remaining egg mixture into an egg bar as well.

Place on a plate and drizzle with sesame oil.

Sprinkle with chopped scallions and serve.
